Anji Grainger Workshop – Spring 2020

Elements of Texture & Design

 April 8–11, 2020 (4 days) / Wednesday–Saturday 9:30-4

Sons of Norway Lodge – 2400 Grant St., Vancouver, WA

A note from Anji . . .
“As an instructor, I teach technique rather than a specific project. This way the student can use what they learn in their own creative style. I focus on building skills that apply to all types of painting, from abstract to representational art.

“In this workshop we will create dynamic, textured patterns by employing nontraditional techniques using plant materials, herbs, salt, stones and other elements. We will see how watercolor pigments react and leave beautiful patterns on our surfaces. These “starts or beginnings” will then be developed into a finished painting. The workshop will also emphasize composition and the elements and principles of design.”

Sponsored by Southwest Washington Watercolor Society.

Workshop participants will have access to a refrigerator and microwave.  There are limited choices for lunch near this location.  Please plan to bring your own lunch, coffee and drinks.
