Original Plein Air Paintings Contact: rhauge4env@aol.com

Washougal artist Jean Hauge uses watercolor, acrylic, or pastel to capture experiences en plein air, often in the Columbia Gorge.  After one or two studies, Jean transfers memories of places onto paper or canvas in her studio. She may add people and animals that may have been present during the process of painting outdoors.

Mrs. Hauge is best known for her collaboration with Spokan Indian artist George Flett in the creation of Red Dawn: Spokan Indian Legends of Emily Phillips (2011). This work may be viewed at www.esd101.net/red_dawn.
